The short version
What is FormatFlow?
FormatFlow is a free online toolbox for everyday file work. It gathers 167 tools across 12 categories — PDF, image, video, audio, text, developer, YouTube, calculator and four science groups — in one place, with no account required and no upload for browser tools. Most PDF, image, text, developer and calculator tools run entirely in the browser, so the file never leaves the device; video and audio conversions use FFmpeg on a temporary server copy that is deleted after download, with a 100 MB upload limit and a three-minute processing cap. Every tool page states the supported formats, limits and privacy behaviour before you start. The library covers converters, compressors, editors, calculators and reference guides, including Spanish and Portuguese pages for the most-used tools. All tools are free, have no watermark, and are reviewed against the working implementation.

Your files stay yours
145 of 167 tools process files inside your browser. Nothing is uploaded, logged or copied. The 22 media tools use a temporary server job that is deleted when the download finishes.
Limits are published
Every tool page states its real maximum size, supported formats and known limitations before you start. No surprise paywall after a five-minute upload.
Content, not ad clutter
Tools sit beside short format guides and honest FAQs. Ads are clearly labelled and kept away from convert and download buttons — the tool is the product here.

HEIC vs JPG: which photo format should you keep?
Your iPhone saves HEIC while most cameras and websites expect JPG. One is smaller and stores more colour; the other opens everywhere. Here is how the two formats differ, and when converting actually helps.

Why your video won't play (and how to fix it)
